I had put together my lower reciever and ordered the 24" overwatch upper from Midwayusa on sale last year for 888.00. I love my grendel. I was shooting factory 123 scenar with lapua brass from AA. I now load my own using both Lapua brass and Hornady brass with Nosler 120 grain Balitic Tips. Next up is the Beowulf.

$14.97 for 20? It's actually cheaper than most common calibers if you shop around,
-
That's still expensive ammo. Hope you have a good paying job to feed that puppy.

top of the line ammo (basically match grade) is running $30.13 per box of 20.
Lapua .308 Win ammo box of 20 is running about $40.00
cheap ammo? Wolf® 6.5 Grendel® 123 Gr. SP 20 rds $14.97

i heard the primers uses in its ammo is amazingly consistent. I understand the material use in the primers has to be hand made or something. And that only someone with a lot of experience can do it right. Probably older Russian that have be doing it for a long time. Either way i guess they have a good reputation. My gun manual said if i use foreign or hand loaded ammo warranty is void.

@Homehous it's the dirtiest stuff you can shoot, but it's cheap and consistent
