79 Chevy with 84 front end 454 .030 over, big cam, gear drive start up rev and walk around.

Here a a updated video of my 79 Chevy truck. It has a .030over 454 with a big erson cam, pete jackson gear drive, 750 Holley carb, edelbrock rpm intake, 3 in. exhaust with one chamber flowmasters. It also has a 400 turbo transmission with a 3000 stall and a shift kit. Rear end is tubbed with a narrowed 12 bolt with 3:73 gears and a full spool. Sorry for the bad sound this truck is loud and my camera isnt that good.

@5024X4 cowl scoop was actually molded to the factory hood.

when you put the '84 front end on you were able to bolt the cowl directly on the existing cab. I think the older year trucks had the full hood where the '81 - '87 trucks have the hood and the cowl as well. Please correct me if I'm wrong. It looks absolutely great!

man i have mine but it has 305. interior is done just need new new paint and rims i like the rms that you have on yours and mine has same color but paint isnt that goog. but im getting ready to paint it. good looking truck bro

@charger70burnout 30 spline should be enough just depending on how many horses you have, spool does not weaken or strengthen anything, just takes the place of the spider gears and makes both wheels pull all the time. a 12 bolt rear end will hold up to a lot of abuse, you should be alright

i want to install a full spool in my 12 bolt truck with 456 gears , 275 / 60 / 15 cooper and 30 spline axle shaft .....so is 30 spline enough ??? and what could go broken with a full spool ??
