Elijah as Sensitive Baby

Elijah is 15 months old and has begun to have trouble sorting out his emotions. I have a close friend who greets her baby every morning with a cheerful "It's Mommy", and I thought it would be sweet to start doing to same for Elijah. Big mistake apparently because whenever he hears me (yep, only when I say it!) say it he bursts into tears! I can say anything else with the same inflection and tone, as long as it doesn't include "It's Mommy!"

I took this video when it was just the two of us in the room, and have since retired the phrase since it breaks his heart.

Would you believe that a year after that video was taken I still cannot use that inflection in my voice with him?! He is so tender hearted! But don't worry, he is an extremely happy baby :)

Your baby is absolutely scrumptious!!! I have a 3yr old named Elijah also. I think you are a great mom and you teach him well. Elijah is very smart, he can communicate before he can speak, thats awsome! When i watch the sensitive baby video and you say "wheeeeeeeeers mommmmmmmmmy" i cry right with along with him. he is too cute, i love him! keep up the good work with Eli..
