Indian Island Naval Weapons Depot Protest

Indian Island, across the bay from Port Townsend, WA, is a naval weapons depot. It is said to be a major shipping point for weapons going to the Middle East, and other hot spots in the far-flung American empire. Last September, as part of a national civil disobedience effort, Puget Sound protesters marched over the bridge and up to the gates of the weapons depot, and staged a sit-down to block the road that accesses the base. Many were arrested, and they now face charges of "Disorderly Conduct." This is the story of that day.
