  • So why did you choose the Sabre? (I'm going to ask wrdturkey the same thing.)

  • Well initially because it was cheap! But I also think it is a really great trike. Very similar to the Tukan. In fact, hard to say who copied whom. Take a look at EMU videos. A number of them were created with his Sabre.

  • I did take lessons to fly and would not recommend that anyone learn to fly anything without the proper instruction. I don't know of anyone personally who trained themselves but I'm sure they are out there.

  • get a helmit, you wannalook pretty at your funeral. jus kiddin. I hang glide and the transition was easy for me and my hang 2 son. If you must train oneself go to the nearest salt flat and take your time. Not recomended though

  • I do have a helmet and always fly with it. I have over 100 hours on the trike now so feeling much more comfortable as you tell by my 20 or so videos.

  • Thanks wrdturkey. I also plan to fly tomorrow but it depends on the weather. It might be too wet tomorrow to fly. The engine is a Rotax 503, single carb.

    Have a great time flying.

  • Oh, I have a trike just like yours.

  • Did you take lessons to fly your trike. I have had 3 lessons but they are a little too expensive. I am only interested in Part 103 at this time and thinking of learning the rest on my own. Would take baby steps in my learning process but still thinking of doing it myself. Know of anybody that has learned on their own and live to tell about it?

  • Hey William. It's nice to see another Sabre on YouTube. Thanks for the flight. I plan on flying tomorrow morning. Is that a Rotax 447?

  • Hopefully everyday of my life from now on
