  • good job Brits, thanks for a great aircraft.

  • We should give US our harriers, I mean ours are just sitting in a hanger perfectly able to fly, about to be scrapped because they have nothing to fly off.

  • @Leftopeningdoors Okay thanks!

  • @jbancroft888 yes, the only fixed wing aircraft that could fly and land on HMS Illustrious was the the harrier.

  • @OlderG0ds if you didnt need harriers you wouldnt of bought our entire fleet, marines would be last get f-35 in large amounts and harrier is much less expensive and far easier to run, and is perfect for wwhat marine corp is set up to do, its a proven aircraft. and thats exactly why marines did buy them.

  • @blueflame53 :P Thanks for your various pieces of tech and weaponary you have given us too :P

  • @matty181190 We have given the US our harriers. Although you did post that 8 months ago, lol.

  • @jbancroft888

Harrier was the only thing with a jet engine that could take of and land there. The American Wasp has no ski jump because they are much bigger ships than the Invincible Class, 40,000 tons vs 20,000 tons, more parking space and longer takeoff run.

  • I dont mean to sound stupid.... But did the HMS Illustrious only shoot harrier jump jets?

  • @AdmiralOgle A nice gesture but we don't really need more carriers, we have something like 11 super carriers and 10 helicopter carriers which also the Harriers are flown from. I reckon though maybe our other friends like Australia can use them.

  • Whats the tv show?

  • @AdmiralOgle The government was looking for any excuse, not making a sensible strategic decision.
