I love the way she throws in that purposeful hiccup at 2:03. Brilliant. It's rare to see such an accomplished musician be so playful with their instrument and their songs in general. Too many musicians take themselves so seriously.

it almost looks like she goofed at 2:08ish...even the pros can have their fingers slip but still, an absolutely amazing performance by one of my favourites.

@jeannaegirl Yeah. Aside from the covers that she does, she writes all of her music herself nowadays. Absolutely amazing how she comes up with her stuff. Check out her book Piece by Piece. Truly an artist in her own right; but then again, I could be biased. Huge fan for about 20 years now. Tee hee! :-D

I'm not sure if that was a hiccup or a goof, but it looked to me like her left hand might've cramped. It was still smooth in my opinion

@DriftAwayMF Having seen her in concert multiple times, I can attest that this kind of pause/hiccup is not unusual for her. I think it's an artistic affectation that adds tension and intensity to the music and is entirely intentional. Whatever it is, it works.

Wait, what? When was this aired? I didn't know any channel still showed simple music performances. Were are the reality show dickheads? Where are the snarky Crime Scene Investigators?
