I agree with your Mom 100%! I'm white and I didn't think I would see this in my lifetime, either. I LOVE that it happened and I LOVE Obama! I had to work on election night but when I heard the news I broke down and cried. I was embarrassed to cry at work but it just jumped out of me. I don't see it as a white or black thing, really. I HOPE it's more of a HUMAN thing. People want to talk crap about him now but I'm still happy with him. 2012 OBAMA!

Do anyone remember the old "1 drop of Black blood rule"? It used to be and in some cases it still is...if you have one drop of Black blood in you...you are a NEGRO, African American, Black, whatever.

The truth is there isn't one black person here in America that is 100% black. The only way you can be 100% black is to be straight up from Africa itself. By saying Obama is only half black you may as well put us all in that boat.
