Helsingfors - Truncation Error

After the demise of instrumental Posties FROM THE SKY in 2008, the remaining four members - guitarists Daniel KING & James MORRIS, bassist Alan ROSS and drummer Barry ROGERS - formed the maze-like HELSINGFORS with the addition of John SPEARS, and designed a focused, clean but strong rendition of pattern oriented instrumental rock.

Their handmade 4-cut EP 'Schematics' was released in 2009 and is one of the best and best sounding independent releases from a small English band that year, showing the minimal lilt of Fripp & Summers with a slightly harder edge. London-based, the quintet appear to be poised to seize the forefront of the small but growing British math/post scene.
