Lone Wolf "Ranger" T2 G10 rescale

Recently I had the opportunity to pick up a relatively cheap Lone Wolf T2, which was a light duty user knife. I decided it would make a pretty decent little project knife for me, as I needed to keep myself busy this week, it being summer and I have nothing to do but the work I make for myself.

In any event, for this knife I decided to refinish both the blade and the handle, add some G10 and flip the pocket clip. One of my biggest beefs with the T2 as it comes out of the box is the pocket clip, which is both proprietary and mounted in the wrong position. For me, I switched the clip to tip up and instead of using the Lone Wolf clip I used a standard three hole pattern to which I will add a Titanium pocket clip in the near future.

The scales are OD green G10. I feel G10 is a huge improvement over the FRN scales that used to be on the knife, it has a much more substantial and quality feel to it now that those old scales have been taken out of the picture. On the internals, I jeweled and polished the liners, something I like to do on pretty much all my knives if I have the time. The blade was hand rubbed so that none of the original scratches showed, and the knife now looks like a custom tactical folder.

Ah, I see. I definitely like that Benchmade style clip over the original Lone Wolf clip. Great job on that.
