  • Does it work with Mac and Logic Pro as a multitrack recorder?

  • @HIllCarver I'm not really sure. on an old system I ran using protools and an O1v, you had to assign the in/out of each track in the PC to the individual channel on the mixer.

if you are using Cubase LE4 that comes with the mixer. open a track, press F3 to get the virtual mixer and click on the E that takes you to the audio channel settings for that track. in the top right hand corner above the slider is where you set the IO routing. playing withe these options should assign channels on the mixr

  • @waterkeeper03 my mixer saws it is 2.0 but i can not get it to record multi track into the computer.. i can pile all of my tracks and it sends one track into the computer..any hints?

  • @vol1888 the multimix usb 2.0 also allows simultaneous multitrack recording.

this unit featured in the vid is not 2.0

  • @bigjasko1

get firewire, that way you can record several channels on to their own individual tracks at the same time.

  • what is better Alesis mulrimix 8 2.0 usb or the alesis multimix 8 firewire they look the same one is usb other firewire??? anybody thx

  • can i recording on my pc ?

    with my programm cubase ?

  • I have one and as far as I know it can't be used without the included power supply. 3 months old post but whatever..

  • i can plug it to your pc and it should come with cubase sx edition or something

  • Can it be used as a field mixer if so what batteries does it use? i need the 48V P power to run the 4 Rode NT1A mics i have ,and a battery life of at least 8 continuous hours of recording and monitoring.the recorder is a Sony MZ RH1 PCM MD ,which i find better than the (i pod) or shall i just buy a fostex fr2 and waste £1000:00 uk.
