@FlFishFanatic interesting point and I agree. I noticed in my community rainbow tank they were all swimming on the bottom before I got around to putting gravel in. I think in the case of the tank in the vid the bright substrate may actually play a part in this. Seems to reflect a lot of light and I know from experience that hinders their colour and makes them more likely to hang out on the bottom 1/4 of the tank and be less active. Weird but anyway cheers.

Although I love your taste in Rainbowfish, they are best kept in schools of 5 or more. They'll still be happy as long as you keep a couple of the same type in their, which you seem to have for each species.
Rainbows are generally Mid-level Top Swimmers and active, so the fact that their all huddled together at the bottom is unusual. I hope they are better now and wish you luck with your tank.

is that really a 77 gallon? dosent look it, nice fish tho!!!!

Yeah the fish look scared not lifeless. Mine were the same way until they warmed up, I still need to get them a bigger tank soon.

Wow nice set up..

I think you'll find that these Rainbows are simply new to their tank. Within a week they will be swimming around like crazy. I think the tank looks good so far and it's a nice size. Maybe get some Hardyheads and some more Australian Rainbows in there as well as the PNG ones you've got

my guess would be that they are getting used to the new setup but i noticed the same thing.

77 gallons.. that's around 280 litres isn't it? your tank doesn't look that big..
anyway, your fish seem quite lifeless,no offence. they're just stoning there. is it better now? some updates pls(:
