This arrangement has been part of my "sight-reading" collection for many years. I have always felt the harmonizing calls for some swinging, jazzy sounds. This is my first attemt ( and proably the last) to play it a little bit more freely than I uselly do.
Having another look at the sleeve, I found Dich Gyllander writes "KEEP SWINGING". He is a Sweedish jazz/classical- guitarist and el.base player. The arrangement is one of four scores in the booklet: GITARRLÅDAN 1981
I've tried to improve the video to make it mor instructional. If you care for this kind of videos, or if you have any suggestions, please let me know!!
My guitar: Antonio Raya Pardo Granada 1988.

  • Fancy arrengement. The performance with your jazzy mood is well matched to this negro spiritual. Thank you for posting.

  • It became obvious it was a jazz-guitarist who made this, to my mind, this interesting arrangement. This is the first and last time I try to play the "jazzy" style!!

  • Excellent video - once again - especially the second part when you start to open up for the jazzy feeling. Thanks for uploading!

  • Dick Gyllander passed away in 2006. Rest in peace, old guitarist!

  • Thanks!!
