  • If you threw out anything with lithium, gold, or copper in it, you're a moron and deserve lots of pain.

Property rights are fine and well, but when you're done with something you don't have the right to banish the rare materials it's made of from ever being useful again.

  • nstructions Step 1 Turn off your IBM ThinkPad. Step 2 Turn on your IBM ThinkPad. Step 3 Press "Ctrl"-"Alt"-"Ins" when the cursor arrives in the upper correct corner of screen. Step 4 Repeat Steps 1 and 2 and then hold the "F1" key while powering up the laptop if Step 3 does not work. Step 5 Repeat Steps 1 and 2 and then press "Ctrl"-"ALT"-"F11" when the cursor arrives in the upper correct corner of the screen if Step 4 does not work.
  • Mine says Restart or test , Can you please help me ?

  • @adminlvieira if you know the password, plug in a regular keyboard and put it in that way

  • @justwolfslife

    Best answer :p

although i have a t42, that has a password, on start-up, into bios and

1- i have a faulty key, and the possible password has it

2 it happened because i pull out cmos, and i didnt know it

3 i think the only solution will be soldering... if you have another please inform me .. thanks

  • and its not worth the $50 you asking for it at craigslist

  • pull out the CMOS battery. it being dead is the cause of the errors but its better that you pull it (and eventually replace with new one, $5 on ebay)

power on machine. click OK, you get a place to put in the current time and date. then you get a screen instructing you to turn off the machine and turn it back on. turn it off and IMMEDIATLY TURN IT BACK ON and you should have access to the computer, it should boot etc. press and hold F1 JUST AFTER turning it back on for BIOS access.

  • change battery bios

  • Just do it over and over again. I did and I got into the BIOS, heads up, the BIOS in the 600e is called Easy Setup
