Theory does not mean an unsubstantiated guess or hunch, as it can in everyday speech. A theory is a logically self-consistent model or framework for describing the behavior of a related set of natural or social phenomena.

I don't see how hard that is to understand..

And therefore, changed, right? So you would agree with me: Atomic theory, Theory of Gravity, Germ Theory, Cell Theory, and Quantum Theory have all changed.

So calling me "ignorant" was itself an ignorant statement, and more to the point: the original poster's claim that we shouldn't believe in scientific theories that change simply doesn't make sense: ALL good scientific theories have been changed, enhanced, updated, etc.

@FiverBeyond I already told you. Newton's law is sufficient for most calculations, when you get into the higher order of physics special relativity takes over as your method of calculation of choice. As I said: ENHANCED.

But even then, you're wrong. The Theory of Gravity IS false: it is STILL in direct conflict with patterns like Mercury's orbit. Relativity didn't simply 'enhance' Newton's law... it replaced it.

But... you claim that Newton's law is true? How do you explain Mercury's orbit, then?

how about the fact that we're here? that's pretty good evidence for a creator right there. what about the changes that happen over millions of years? how come i don't see any of that? how come my grandfather never completely evolved? was it because he died before he reached his millionth birthday? nobody lives to be that old!!! how can they possibly evolve then? cuz we all know it takes millions of years to evolve.
