@gigiontube The relevance is that it's an important logical principle that the explanation that requires you to assume the least going into it is more likely to be true. And in your fantasy land there needs to be a huge conspiracy of farmers, government, doctors, and scientists all lying for no particular reason.

I can't help but get the feeling that everyone has missed the point entirely. Doesn't matter whether you like the current first lady--or any of the prior ones, for that matter. She's a mother telling parents to set a healthy example for their kids. That's a message that desperately needs to be heard these days.
The benefit of using *her* is that she's a familiar face and her family happens to be setting the example for the country right now.
