It would take a much better man than me to even try to come close to the funk and groove of Louis Johnson, the "grandfather" of slap-bass technique. Though on Michael Jackson's hit "Off The Wall" it doesn't sound like he got too slap-happy... more just laying down that sweet finger funk. Of course it has some of my interpretation in there too.
I just love our new portable HD camera. It makes those video shots down the neck so easy.

@ocr1226: I plug straight into a Pre-Sonus FP10, using Nuendo 4.0 DAW. My channel effects look like this: Compressor --> Mono to Stereo --> Chorus. Compressor uses these settings: Threshold: -26.9, Ratio: 2.86, Make-up Gain: 4.0, Attach: 1.0, Hold: 1, Release: 500, Analysis: 80. Mono to Stereo settings: Width: 26, Delay: 2.7, Color: 5. Chorus (active only on verses): Rate: 0.10, Width: 10, Spatial: 75, Mix: 36, Delay: 20.0, Low Filter: 50, Hi Filter: 12000.

@ocr1226: Channel EQ looks like this: High EQ Level: 20.4, Freq. 4990.5Hz, Q: 4.0. Low-mid EQ Level: 8.9, Freq. 443.4Hz, Q: 1.4.

@ocr1226: I also use Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky strings exclusively on the Geddy Jazz. 105-85-65-45.
