The 308 Ferrari is one the prettiest sportscars made. I've ridden in one and it's a blast!

@jurgen4life If I remember correctly it is every 30K miles or every 5 years to change the belts and it can be done really cheap.

@SeeProfileForDetails And what Ferrari blends with an intrepid exactly? And Porsches are far from futuristic. They have had the same body style since the 60s. Whether Porsche fans want to admit it or not, its still styled to look like a fuckin bug.

@jurgen4life Yeh but my fav ferrari is the f355 SOUND!!!

are you tom cruise :-)

@jurgen4life 12,000 dollars to adjust the timing belt. Fricking Laughing Out Loud. Why can't people buy a tensioner tool, fricking laughing out loud.

@1usc2 1977 Ferrari 308 GTB 8.2 seconds, 1980 Ferrari 308 GTS 6.9 seconds

@jurgen4life 5 secs is pretty fast.. probably more like 6.5
Lookiing at a tits 308gtsi later this fall....but doing the research first..will maybe put a few hundred easy miles on it a year...(couple trips to Moneterey and Carmel for a couple of shows, adn I am an easy driver, it's the journey, as well as the destination...how is maintenance on these guys if you baby them?? What do standard sevices cost if I do one every spring..I'm a wrencher, but I'll stick to my boat...

@Amtrakeng If you're a first time ferrari owner...this model is popular for first timers...it is the "cheapest" ferrari to maintain and is one model that is going up in price. The price difference between the 308 and the 355 is anywhere between $5k to $10k. Any car that you baby it and maintain it regularly will last you forever. The timing belt on this car is about $2500 and its done about every 60K miles...

@Amtrakeng ....the most important thing is to make sure the car gets driven to keep all mechanical parts lubricated and running and electrical system functioning...my water pump locked up on me cause it never gets driven :( so now its time to get the engine rebuilt to fix all the leaks and get the engine purring again and that's a $6k to $7k job...Just keep up with the regular maintenance and engine running and it will last you a while a the cost will be minimum.

For a car from the 1980's, it sure looks stylish even now. Ageless these Ferrraris. I have always wanted one since Magnum PI but your maintance comments may deter me for now. Maybe for my 35th Bday in a couple years.

In the contrary! This car especially isn't as expensive as other ferraris. Every ferrari owner that you speak to, will tell you that the best ferrari to start with (which everyone has) is the 308. Best to find one in good conditions with ALL the service records in hand!..and you will less likely spend alot of money into it than buying one in fair (cheap) conditions. This car isn't a daily driver like other ferraris but a good 2k miles a year will do and one of most stylish Ferrari ever made

how fast is it 0 to 60 mph? i would imagine it to be slow considering the age of the vechile.

it is....it only has 240hp....once you step on the gas and get the rpm's up then it does go fast but i would guess around 5 secs...never timed it but i would think online specs would say. The carburator version came with 285hp, mine is fuel injection.
