The first ever video of a thru- trip of the infamous Sandthrax slot canyon. Produced as a school project, the target audience is the poor souls who might be considering their own trip through the beast. But really anyone who wishes to live vicariously may benefit from the video. After all it is a place few people will ever see. Video was shot on my 4th trip through the canyon (shot with an olympus tough12 MP P&S with HD) accompanied by Nathan Meader, and Penny Martens . 5 hours down, I turned around and booked it back up in 3, as the first person to go down then back up the canyon (solo on the way back up!) Some of the photos in the video are from previous trips, and credited to Ben Hebb (RIP buddy!) and Nathan Meader. Music thanks to The Agonist and Light This City, Enjoy!

That makes sense with the speeding it up. Maybe you should put the keystone cops soundtrack, or some piano music for a silent film. It would definitely get a few laughs. :)

This is awesome! I don't love the music, but I appreciate the fact that you got this on video! I don't think most people understand the severity of this canyon and the skills involved to get through. Very cool! I someday hope to take on the beast.

Thanks! The music selection is atypical of my style, I figured people wouldn't enjoy it too much but I don't really care. The reason behind the music was 1 I had to speed the footage up quite a bit in places and I wanted the music to make it flow better, and 2 we thought penny was the first woman through the canyon so I thought it would be fitting to use some of my favorite songs from a few of my favorite female fronted metal bands. Glad you enjoy the perspective and understand the severity.
