I always liked to randomly try leaving when Marle dissapeared after Lucca and Taban were done talking. Lucca says something sarcastic to encourage Chrono to stay and go after her if I remember right.
I agree about the load times in the playstation version being aggravatingly slow, talk about snoozing for 5 seconds or so to go in and then out of the menu.

The power glove, it's SO bad.

Dave you're more upbeat with this game! I loves it! You sound different! Whatever ur on can I have some?! xD

That and he probably loves being overpowered beyond hell.

"Ow! My sperm!" ROFL!

I think Dave doesn't like to waste recording time fighting regular battles so he beefs up his characters off the clock to make the regular battles go by quicker (or even have the option to skip the battles when needed).
Chrono Trigger is one of those games that you normally don't need to power level much or at all - the battles scale pretty well with your experience as long as you don't go out of your way to avoid most battles.

Just a little tid-bit, Magus's name isn't Magus, I don't mean the whole thing about his real name being Janus. In the original Japanese they call him Maoh, which means something like Evil Lord specifically, they translated that to Magus. So Magus is his title, that is why they said "The Magus" and that is correct.

Of course!

Glad im not the only one.
The game barely started and Dave's power leveling already? Oh dear.
