I never skated before, but last year at the age of 24 I started to take lessons, here is the outcome of my once a week lesson. This is my attempt on a flip-toe-loop combination. Enjoy! Comments are welcome on my blog at www.peogles.com/blog

  • @xkatiecookiemonsterx Never let anyone say you're too old. I started skating when I was 16 and now I'm an instructor. We have adults of all ages, beginners through advanced. I've known plenty of 60, 70 and 80 year olds to skate. There are competitions just for adult skaters. Too old my eye!!

  • i've always wanted to figure skate since i was realy young but in wales there is only one ice rink in the country and its far away

im nearly 17 now , i've had a few lessons and the coach i had said i was too old to start figure skating, but after a few lessons i learned soo much , i could do a salchow

i havnt been in months now and i really miss it , i love being on the ice

but im moving to canada in 3 weeks where they have lots of rinks so hopefully i'll be able to start properely

  • Well, I do have mixed feelings. But still people who are very healthy, have good genes and who don't have arthritis should continue to skate no matter what their age is... Its very difficult to skate with arthritis and other form of bone or spinal problems.

  • I started at 36 and I hardly ever can skate, but I enjoy it so much!

  • Yes, it's never too late to start. I started at 37, and although it takes me so much longer to learn than someone younger, I can still feel improvement happening. My coach reckons my spiral is as good as any of his other, younger students, so I'm chuffed with that! Keep up the good work!

  • I started at age of 15, but I didn't have any chance to learn icedancing because we don't have any Ice arena there where I lived then I was 15. I'd move to another city then I was 17, and then I'd start dancing for real. But my coacher said I was to old. She don't understand what figure skating really is. It's so wrong to say that it's too late to learn! She is just interested in people who can make her rich on their skating. That fucking bitch! I'm still mad on her. May she burn in hell!!

  • Wow you guys are good!

  • I started Skating at the age of 23. This is March so I've been skating for a year now. I'm 24. I am proud to report that I am landing my axel, double salchow, double flip, and double loop. I hate the toeloop and the lutz. I'm working on it though. Awesome progress for only a year of skating. Keep up the good work.

  • I started skating late too, at age 21, and its true..its never too late!

  • i meant it seems easy to u...good job
