Bravo! True mastery, such delineation of the musical lines and beauty of tone.

@wgj7gec The viola is made by Hiroshi Iizuka, who is based outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I've had the viola for 25 years now... since I was 12.

His viola is amazing. Anyone know who made it or anything? It has an interesting shape/structure along with it's great and powerful sound

This is one of the best performance of the Chaconne...very intimate and sonorous...amazing....like Viktoria..so clear and reflective....I think like Bach actually played it....
Thanks BB

Nooo, I unequivocally intended to rate this 5 stars (I accidentally clicked 4)! I have never heard the chaconne played so convincingly on viola before! I don't think I'll ever go near the chaconne, but this really encourages me to try other movements of this wonderful partita on viola =) Slapin's performance is truly inspiring, for violists and all musicians.
