Part of a larger film I made. This footage was taken on the Bienville Club stand. It is an awesome place to view the parade.

  • @Hova504 I've never been to Mobile for mardi gras (i'm a New Orleans native living in Houston) but i WILL concede that Mobile IS safer than New Orleans at mardi gras, the crowds aren't as large (and wild) in Mobile making it easier to get more throws from float riders. One thing i noticed though, from Mobile MG videos, there aren't many maskers in the streets as New Orleans (just an observation). If i would go to Mobile for MG, the one thing i would miss is N.O.'s ambience and traditional foods.

  • @Nola504 -Heck Yeah !

@Maj84guitar- It's meanings behind shootings, not beads ! Duhh

  • You're right, I'm only going off what I've heard. But I've heard from a lot of people that have been to Mobile and to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and they've told me Mobile is a lot safer.

  • Nobody goign to shot u over beads, see u go off what u hear not what u see, its really nothing like that, but hey its your opinion so........

  • I disagree. I can go to Mardi Gras in Mobile and not worry about getting shot over a set of beads.

  • but yeah i think we can all agree that new orleans is wayy better.

  • Alabamans from Mobile who boast about Mobile being "first" with Mardi Gras should realize that the "first" is not always considered the "best". Which city gets recognition for Mardi Gras whenever it's mentioned, huh?

  • I was born and raised in Texas but so proud to call Mobile, AL my hometown now. Great footage!

  • Nice Video. Makes me a little homesick.
