I've seen Michael put the yarn in an empty Bic Pen. It makes it easier and quicker to work.

Don't you ever wonder who set and thought this gut or figured which peg to jump, etc. When doing by hand with needles, you can sort of imagine it. But this - I know I could follow a pattern, but would be so afraid that the peg would come out and i'd lose all my work....
