Kings Island's Diamondback Splashdown

Kings Island's new roller coaster, Diamondback, features a special splashdown ending to the ride. The coaster stands 230 feet at its highest point with a first drop of 215 feet at a 74-degree angle.

ive rode sheikra and i didnt get wet only sprinkled so dont expect to get wet on this!

1. Nitro has an L-shaped out-and back layout, whereas Diamondack has an hourglass-shaped layout.

2. Nitro doesn't have a splashdown.

3. Diamondback doesn't do a 180 degree bank downwards out of the station to get to the chain lift. Diamondback just goes straight out to the chain lift.

4. Nitro has catwalks on both sides of the lift. Diamonback only has them on the right.

5. Diamondback has much taller airtime hills.

6. Nitro doesn't have a mid-ride brake run.

If you sit in one of the back two cars, you will get some. Not much, though, but at least you get sort of wet.
