Pennsylvania artist, Dale Gallon talks with Kent Courtney about his latest print, "Lee" - July 1, 1863 Gettysburg General Robert E. Lee observes the retreat of the Army of the Potomac through the town of Gettysburg to their defensive position on Cemetery Hill. This video features an original soundtrack by Kent Courtney.
My understanding is that Lee may have taken a meal or two in the house but that his headquarters was in a tent located at the orchard by the house. I also see what looks like A.P. Hill wearing his "red battle shirt". The myth continues.

Nice job! Good mix of visuals and audio. And intriguing content, too. You've captured an element of Lee's pathos. One hundred and fifty years later, it is still painful to contemplate the events of those days. This does it with compassion and dignity.

The music is incredible - and there are some ideas I haven't heard of before. The concept that Lee had is Garden of Gethsemane after Gettysburg seems so appropriate. I could imagine Lee praying, "Take this cup from me."

This is a very informative video - I love the music. It feels so stately and appropriate for the momentous view of Robert E. Lee depicted in Mr. Gallon's painting - so impressive.
