Etherape listens to your network (locally) and shows you the traffic.

Zenmap (graphical front end for nmap) can scan your network and show you who is connected to your network (your router). It also shows open ports, and tries to fingerprint the operating systems connected to it. It can do other things in many other ways but that is outside the scope of this tutorial.

These tools must be run as root to work correctly "sudo zenmap" "sudo etherape" Lets get started.

Thats it. Thanks for watching.
