It was the Viking who brought horses to Ireland, ancestors of these horses are found in many parts of the world. Powerful and smooth riding, learn about these amazing horses from one of Canada's top Icelandic horse experts.

  • Fascinating history! Thank you so much for sharing.

  • they are without a doubt one of the most loving and trusting breeds you can find!

  • Love how your icy goes. Not to sure if you would be willing to answer a few quick questions for me. A good friend of mine has 2 Icelandic horses. I Brock the one last summer at 5. He is coming along, but is very nervous, and spooky. He also tends to bolt, and buck, for no real reason. He tolts only when he's fighting, and angry. My question is, have you come across this with an icey before. I am hoping with time, the attitude goes away with maturity.

  • Who brought horses to ICEland not Ireland :)

  • I love my Icelandic Horses! I find it very difficult to understand why it has become the custom to have these horses' mouths tied shut with such severe nosebands; and that the horses fighting the bit has become acceptable, ignored, unrecognized behavior.

  • Very nice video and beautiful horses, i just love them!!!

  • @JCVdude Thanks (= I do horse-back riding for almost 3 years now

  • @JCVdude I just sent you a PM so I donnt get called trolling. Dispiace. Sorry.
