Jaden Daniels: Do You Back Up Your Websites?

My blog is down right now I hope to have it up soon.
I hope that you will learn from my mistake. If you have a website of any kind, back up your files.

I had my site hosted by this particular company. Yesterday, I went to post my blog, and I couldnt get my website to come up. I contacted the hosting company. They told me that their servers crashed. They also told me to change my nameservers to another server.

I change my nameservers, and my website never came up. I found out later that ALL their servers had crashed. They had no backup. I lost EVERYTHING.

I did not back up my site either, which is bad on my part. I just took it for granted that the hosting company would have everything backed up for me.

Well I hope all of you learn one thing from my mistake that you need to back up your websites. I dont want anybody to go through this.

I changed hosting companies, and I am trying to get everything back up on my website. I have to do it all manually, one by one. It will take a while, but I am going to do whatever it takes to try to save my Alexa and Page ranking.

I want to say that when my website is up, I am going to do a blog on the research I did on hosting companies. You dont want your website hosted by just anybody.

Anyway, I know this was a learning experience for me. I know it will continue going through this whole process. So, if you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask.
