PSP is an older person's disease and it is unusual for symptoms to appear before the age of fifty. As part of the normal ageing process, neurons in the brain anyway progressively die, but not in the numbers or specific areas seen in PSP and in related neuro degenerative diseases.

I found on monday a charity based around the uk called the psp association, I am going to fundraise for them, they are helping families and sufferers and doing research on the disease, I have found them very good.

I find it crazy how most doctors and nurses have never heard of this!!

It is a horrid disease and the fact knowledge on it is so rare makes it worse. I hope you manage to raise awareness, maybe do a fundraiser like me?
