Sorry this took so long! NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED!
I need to say that my friend Abby helped with Part 11 and my friend Kate helped me with Parts 13 and 14.
Enjoy!
Harry's POV
The weekend after the Ball, I realized Ron and Hermione were acting very strangely. In the Common Room, when the three of us were doing homework together as usual, they kept exchanging glances with each other, and then looking away, grinning, but blushing furiously.
Harry: Wait a minute... Are you two...?
I made a hand gesture pointing to both of them. Had my plan worked? Had they finally gotten together?
Hermione: What?!
She looked around, and bent over, motioning Ron and I to join her into a huddle.
Harry: Never mind. It's stupid.
Ron: No it's not. And yes, yes we are.
Hermione: Ron!
She straightened up and pushed her homework to the side, as if this was more important.
Ron: What? It's true isn't it? I mean, it is, isn't it?
There was a hint of uncertainty in his voice.
Hermione: Well I didn't think we were going to go off telling people at random!
Harry: Excuse me! I've been your friend for five years!
They ignored me and continued bickering.
Ron: Well why not? Might as well embrace it.
Hermione: Yes, of course, but --
Ron cut Hermione off, taking her head in his hands and making sure her eyes were staring directly into his.
Ron: Hermione! Stop arguing with me!
Hermione: Okay.
Ron: Okay?
I was surprised how quickly she cooled down. Maybe it was true love.
Hermione: You're right. It's stupid arguing all these years. Friends shouldn't argue, especially if they're becoming more than friends.
She blushed at the last bit. Ron said nothing, but nodded fervently. I was lost.
Harry: Does this mean you two are dating, or not?
The two of them looked at me in a sort of pity, gathered their books, and walked away.
Monday, in DADA, Ron's POV
Defense Against the Dark Arts was droning on as usual, Snape taking points from Gryffindor every other sentence and insulting kids whenever he could, when there was a sharp knock on the door.
Snape: Enter.
The door opened and my own sister, Ginny, looking quite anxious, stood in the doorway, being led by Professor McGonagall. McGonagall turned to Snape.
McGonagall: I assume Dumbledore has already spoken to you?
Snape: Yes. He sounded quite reproachful and annoyed.
McGonagall: Very well, then.
She walked to the front of the classroom, dragging Ginny along with her.
McGonagall: Since Ginny has done so outstanding in her Defense Against the Dark Arts classes, she will be joining your class for the rest of the year. Where may she sit, Severus?
Snape: In the back, behind Potter will do.
A few heads, including mine, turned towards Harry. I could see a smug expression on is face. I, on the other hand, must've been steaming of embarrassment. My little sister was going to be in the same class as me, and she probably would still get higher marks.
McGonagall gave Ginny a small push, and she grudgingly walked back to her seat. I couldn't see why she was so against the whole thing, especially since she was sitting next to Harry, whom she admired, and who could help her when needed.
McGonagall: I'm assuming you all know her from Gryffindor, but either way, please welcome her with open arms.
Ron: I'm sure Harry will.
I must've said that a little too loudly, because Hermione turned to me accusingly, and Harry's cheeks flushed, which I'd never seen happen before. "Sorry, "I mouthed. "It's fine," he mouthed back. But I could tell it wasn't fine.
I'm trying to make H/G and R/H even so sorry if it isn't! Hopefully it all works out!
@suphieluv100 No it's fine I don't feel rushed at all!
