I tried to do the same thing, but it didn't turn out so great. You can look at it in the title "The Cursed video file".

here's mine, not exactly the same, i drew some inspiration from the book

It is quite easy. I use video studio 11. there was already a video containing static when I first installed the program. I put the static video in the video timeline and the hooded figure image in the overlay timeline, then I ovarlay it so the static appears on the image. It's best to apply all the effects and lighting in first before you do this.
Though I am not really happy with the result, I am going for a more pin pointed look. i will be doing this by using photo shop pro 2.

xD Good Job! How do you make the face-in-mirror effect really?

@virtualx300 Cheers B) haha, the mirror thing was really rubbish. I just set up the camcorder behind me at a good angle and did some video of the mirror on both sides of the wall, then I just edited it together. You can see me standing to the left on the last one, haha

@CapnKirkus I have a rectangular mirror in my bedroom and did the same thing in a deleted scene video. When it switched, I used photoshop to include the background of my PC room.

@machiner6 That's an interesting way of doing it... I probably would've had a go at using digital editing before, but I was kinda new to it at the time
