Boston University responded from an embarrassing loss with a 6-2 trouncing of the Maine Black Bears. Sophomore Colby Cohen started the game with a bang, a slap-shot that found the back of the net with under a minute played. Maine tied the game at 1-1 on the power play, but BU answered quickly with senior Brandon Yip putting home a pass from linemate Nick Bonino. The lead was stretched to 3-1 when Joe Pereira tipped home a David Warsofsky shot. The Terriers scored three more times in the 2nd period, getting goals from Corey Trivino, Zach Cohen, and Nick Bonino. Kieran Millan responded well stopping 24 of 26 shots, and with the win the Terriers move on to the Hockey East semifinals against Boston College.
