This is a great coop! Good job. We're building our first coop right now and I hope we do it right. Chickens are pretty laid back, they will probably like it fine. No penthouses needed.

Just to say, maybe it would help to use hay in the nesting box, and wood shaving on the ground, they would go in the nesting box because it's more confertable for them. have a good one, nice coop!

Thanks. I don't know how to accept your video response. It should be automatic. If it doesn't show up in a day or two send me a message.

Do you have to move the coop around? And if so how often? Do you need to let the chickens out of the enclosed area? Is this good for about 3?

This is plenty big for 3 chickens. Possibly even four. I don't move the coop but I do let the chickens out. You could make a smaller movable enclosure that can be moved around so your chickens can be kept in one place and safe from predators.

looks nice but let me know if the chickens peck an eat the tarpaint

They didn't eat it so far. So I think it is safe. But it didn't hold up the way I thought it would so there is no reason to use the tar on the bottom.
