This is a play-through of Thunder Force IV for the Sega Mega Drive. It was done on normal difficulty.

I understand I will have a tough time convincing people that this was a completely flawless run since the start of each video clearly shows a 'load state' message appear. This was because after each level, I had to stop the game and compress the video due to lack of hard disc space.

Recording Software: Fraps
Emulator: Kega

I do own an original European copy of the game but it is somewhere in the attic and I can't be bothered finding it!

  • If you honestly did a no-death run of the entirety of Thunder Force IV, you deserve some serious props

  • I did although I will understand if people don't believe me since it wasn't a single segment run. Once I get a bigger hard drive, I'll try go for the single segment no-death run. :)

  • I've only no-missed this game once, and it was on normal mode. ; -; Air-raid always screwed me over on hard. Air-raid or level 6. Potentially Dazer.

  • I can't believe that little fly-covered fudge-packer is what stopped me from finishing this.

  • Last time I didn't lose any ships untill this stage. I finished on final boss which really is imposible without dying, Just look at this moment 4:30. The worst stage, but the best music. :)

  • This Stage was my Nemesis back then, especially the end boss he's a bitch!

  • \m/ O_o \m/

  • FUCK! So I have to destroys these robots outputs instead of robots? I was destroying robots to this time xD

  • I was such a junky for this game when I was thirteen I finished with 20+ lives and no downs. I don't know if this was good for my developement, but it was fun.

    Thanks for the video.

  • Oh, I believe you, the second part of the sentence would've been "you would deserve" instead of "you deserve" if I doubted you
