I agree. I think this version is awesome. I think better than the original. He completely made it his own and I so respect that. As for his singing, I don't think he's that bad. Also, this isn't an American Idol competition. This is folk music. Listen to a lot of folk and bluegrass, they aren't generally known for their flawless voices. It's about the music, the lyrics, and the emotion they put into the song. A la Dylan, Springsteen, Mellencamp, Johnny Cash, and even Aimee Mann.

That being said, I don't listen to any of that music you mention, that's for the young set. What I do know is that there is only one Bob Dylan, and anyone else trying to sound like Dylan....sounds like someone doing a poor imitation. And she picked him I am sure partially because he doesn't even sing as well as she does.

This guy's voice is bad. I think maybe that's the problem people have with it. Also his version of the song is bad. Reade should have won. There is no doubt that his was the best.

This guy sucks. Everyone else mentioned in the winners video was way better, especially Reade McCardell. He should have won.

The fact that this version won says much more about Aimee Mann's own insecurities than anything else. She's beautiful, talented, and hollow to the core.
