It's Going To Be Okay - Episode 2 Part 2

*At the restaurant, the next night*
Joe: So how do you like your food.
Demi: Its delicious, Joe thank you.
Joe: So I was thinking
Demi: (She fakes a shocked expression) You? Thinking. Wow. This must be serious (she laughs)
Joe: (Smiles, with an insulted look on his face) Gee, thanks Dem.
Demi: (Smiles too) You were saying
Joe: I was wondering if maybe you wanted to be my girlfriend?
Demi: (She looks down) I--
Joe: (Starts rambling again) I mean you dont have to I just kind of like you and thought maybe you might like me back, but I can see by the look on your face that you dont feel the same, and thats okay, I totally understand, you dont have to--
Demi: (Giggles) Youre rambling again.
Joe: This is what happens when I am around things of such amazing beauty.
Demi: (Blushes) Joe--
Joe: (Excited) Yeah, Dem?
Demi: It took you long enough.
Joe: (Confused) What?
Demi: Yes.
Joe: (Even more confused) What?!
Demi: (Smiles) I will be your girlfriend.
Joe: (Smiles back) Really?
Demi: No, Im just kidding.
Joe: (Disappointed) Oh, thats okay WAITER, CHECK PLEASE.
Demi: (Shocked) Do you really want this night to be over already?
Joe: Demi, you just rejected me, so I kind of do, yeah
Demi: (Sad) Well I never thought that Id see the day when my boyfriend wanted to say goodnight to me a half hour into our date.
Joe: (Surprised) Wait a minute, boyfriend?
Demi: I was kidding, Joe. Of course I would love to be your girlfriend.
Joe: (Smiles) Are you ready to go?
Demi: Where are we going?
Joe: For a walk.
Demi: (Giggles) I guess so.
Joe: (Puts out his hand for her to take) Lets go then.
Demi: (Takes his hand) Okay.

*After twenty minutes of walking in the park in silence*
Joe: (Stops walking and looks at Demi)
Demi: (Smiles) What?
Joe: You look absolutely astonishing in the moonlight.
Demi: (Shoves him playfully) Thanks. And you look--
Joe: (Grins) Handsome? I know.
Demi: (Laughs) Like a ware wolf.
Joe: (Shocked) That hurt.
Demi: (She shoves him again, then starting running in a backwards zigzag)
Joe: (Yells after her) You are so going to pay.

*They run around the park for a while, until Joe finally catches up to her and he grabs her from behind, causing them both to fall to the ground, Joe falling on top of Demi*
Demi: (Smiles) Hello there.
Joe: (Smiles back) Hi.
Demi: Fancy meeting you here.
Joe: (Just stares down at her. He wanted to kiss her so badly. But was it the right time? Did she want to? What if--)
Demi: (Leans up and kisses him)
Joe: (He deepens the kiss)
Demi: (She pulls away, and smiles)
Joe: (In awe) Wow.
Demi: Yeah. I didnt feel anything either.
Joe: (Sad) Oh.
Demi: (Laughs) You need to learn how to take a joke! (Kisses him again and then pushes him over, getting up and starting to run again)
Joe: (Waves) See you later, Demi. (Turns around and starts walking the other way. Then he feels someone push him from behind)

*This time Demi was on top of Joe*
Joe: (Smiles) Hello there.
Demi: (Smiles back) Hi.
Joe: What can I do for you?
Demi: (Kisses him a third time)
Joe: (Rolls over, getting on top of her once again. He starts moving his hands up her shirt)
Demi: (She lets him for a few minutes, then stops kissing him) Its getting late. You should take me home.
Joe: (Kisses her again) Are you sure you want to go home just yet?
Demi: (Kisses him one more time) I cant do this yet, Joe (sits up).
Joe: Dem, dont feel you have to either (sits up too, and kisses her). Weve only been together for an hour. Trust me when I tell you, Ill wait as long as you need.
Demi: Joe, there is something I should tell you
Joe: (Looks at her and smiles) Anything, babe.
Demi: (Looks down) Joe Im a virgin.
Joe: (Shocked) Really?
Demi: (Nods) Yeah, really. And I probably wont be ready for a while. So I understand if you dont want me to still be your girlfriend. I dont know if what Ive heard at school is true, but--
Joe: (Frowns) Yes. Its true. Ive slept around a little. But that was a long time ago. Im different now, Demi. And I dont want to pressure you in to something youre not ready for. I know youre not ready, and strangely enough, I want to wait for you. Come on, lets take you home.
Demi: Thanks Joe.

*They drive home in silence*
Demi: (Gets out of the car and starts walking to her front door)
Joe: (Gets out of the car and follows her)
Demi: (Smiles) Well I had a good time tonight Joe. Thanks.
Joe: (Smiles back) Me too. Ill call you later, okay?
Demi: Definitely.
Joe: (Leans in to kiss Demi)
Demi: (Leans in too, when the porch light turns on, then off)
Joe: Goodnight Demi.
Demi: Goodnight.
