Just a super quick length check.

Last hair cut Jan 2010
Last texturiser Apr 2010 - Natural Hair Journey Begins
(over the last year I've done two trims to remove texturised ends)

my problem is single strand knots...
everytime I feel one I snip them off (search and destroy)
I keep my hair in a stretched state (braids/twist/cornrows) to hinder their development

Routine for S1MNICITY the habitual wig wearer
Hair is in box braids
Daily co/wash w/ TRESemmé NaturalsvNourishing Moisture Conditioner
Daily spritz w/ Giovanni Direct Leave In & Aloe Vera Juice (finish w/ coconut oil)
Smooth Edges w/ Lusters S-Curl Texturizing Gel

Monthly (or when required)
Giovanni Golden Wheat Shampoo
Aubrey Organics - GPB Glycogen Protein Conditioner
Redo Box Braids
(using the tangle teezer and giovanni direct leave in to detangle)

Side Note
If I'm doing twists/twist out I've started using shea butter mixed with ev olive oil, for me it works best when smoothed into the hair right before doing the twist in small sections as opposed to just massaging it through the entire head of hair. I prefer using the shea butter w/ evoo mix on dry hair.

  • i read something that says you can estimate your terminal length based on the hair of your father's mother and your mother's father. i don't know if that is true but that's what i read or heard.

  • @fanatic709

well if that's true it's a wrap for me ;-)

  • @S1MNICITY never fear......... there's gotta be other factors like does your grandmother take care of her hair like you do. does your grandfather eat healthy like we all should. there r alot of things that determine hair length, not just genetics.......... good luck and no matter what length it'll be healthy!

  • @fanatic709

    ;-)

  • you mentioned that your hair tangles, so does mine and the ONLY thing that works for me is some type of curl activator spray, yes, like back in the day when people wore a Jerri Curl. The one that I like best is StaSoFro and the BEST brush that I've found to remove practically all of my tangles is the Tangle Teezer or Tangle Tamer from Sally's. I put in some leave in cond then I spray my hair every night with the StaSoFro and use the Tangle Tamer and put it back into a weave ponytail or something

  • @S1MNICITY just try to avoid heat damage. I know when you gain length you feel like wearing it straight. Well that's what happened to me :(

  • @coachianatkins

it's taking it's sweet time but we are getting there!

  • @zetagirl36

  • @tyronerodriguezuno
