  • I love this video!! Its a proven fact that most mainstream people that buy smartphones in general only use up to 20% of what all the phone is capable of doing!! This women rocks she is the one who will study & know the Android OS inside out !! Owning an Android cell is a new lifestyle! So much to learn and is growing daily!! Until u work with them frequently u never feel caught up. Also With your typing try Swype.. Its Brilliant!! Good Luck & Enjoy..

  • @0078JUNIOR Yes, that's a perfect way to describe me - a mainstream user. I am hoping other mainstream users might be able to get ahead faster seeing what I had figured out, even with my awkward start, and that designers and developers might get new ideas for creating the user experience from some of my struggles. I am still studying and practicing! Thank you so much for such a kind, supportive comment!

  • Not bad for day 3. Great going, keep it up

  • @soccerhero1 Thanks for the support! Still not a power user after two months, but our company created an app so, ironically, I'm actually a better app user than typist now. :) Thanks again!

  • Thanks so much, trupeace86! Yes, first touch screen. I need to do an updated video to show the learning curve is leveling off. :) I'm feeling more confident all the time and can imagine you'll be a power user quickly since you've used the Storm. I hope you enjoy your Droid X as much as I'm enjoying mine! Thanks again for your comment.

  • Thanks for your comment, NYYROCK. Still a waiting list on the Droid X! I'll have more colleagues with the Droid soon and will become power users quickly enough. I agree that the Droid X is a powerful tool. Like a chainsaw, I want to take my time to learn how to use it carefully but fearlessly. :)

  • I use android 7 pro on my droid x, i like it, you should try it plus you just gotta root it, i did and i can over clock it to 1.35 ghz =3

  • No offense I learned this in like 30 minutes.

  • I respect the fact that u didn't take the mainstream route and get a bogus iPhone. You're gonna be great with the DroidX because you actually CARE enough to read into the phone to know as much as you possibly can. iPhone users typically just want the phone to do all of the work for them.

  • @JettaJ1 ... Hey JettaJ... Swype is an easier way to manipulate your input within the virtual keyboard. You simply swype your finger along the letters you would like to spell! For many Swype starts out alittle rocky but give it time & play with the settings until you have personalized it to your liking! There are several videos within your tutorials on your new DROID X help menu! Enjoy

  • @0078JUNIOR i order me the droid X i get it tommorow what is " Swype " ? im a samsung i760 user for the past 2 years.

  • Instead of typing, have you tried the speech to text function? The little microphone next to the spacebar is there for just about every text input box and it works so incredibly well that I use it for everything from google searches to texting, The only thing it can't do is proper nouns so you still have to type in names of places or websites.
