I guess this video recording was made during a Maranao festival or maybe a wedding celebration. It shows the playing of the big agung, drum dabakan, and gong-chimes kulintang (in that order). In the end, there is also singing along with the playing of a western steel string guitar.

I downloaded this video from a Maranao website in 2005, but I have no idea anymore which site this was. Originally, it came in 28 individual, very short video clips of different formats, and I had a hard time to convert them to anything useful, because they only made all my video programs produce a lot of errors. Here, finally, they are assembled in one file.

I thought these performances are just too exciting to remain unappreciated by the public. This band is really cooking! I wish I could have seen the original performance. So, enjoy!

  • wow how can i download this?

  • You can download "save2pc", a free tool for this purpose. YouTube does not allow me to post the URL. So, you have to google for that. But that's not a problem...

  • I love this... the only thing is that THIS VIDEO CUTS TOO MUCH!!!!

  • As I wrote in my comment, I downloaded 28 individual, very short video clips of different formats from a Maranao website, all just a couple of seconds long and, therefore, impossible to watch individually. I just assembled them into one file. There are no cuts; the clips are just played one after the other here...

  • based on what i just have read, a lot of marano men must be also humble, patient and courageous because they are MUSLIMS and Quran instructs them to do so. BOASTFUL and TACTLESS men are a FRUIT of any culture on this PLANET: filipinos, americans, japanese, koreans, indonesians, malaysians, MUSLIMS, CHRISTIANS, JEWS, HINDUS and so on....A PART OF HUMAN NATURE ,,, Peace and Understanding be with you my friend.

  • based on what i have observed, a lot of maranao men are boastful and tactless. they dont care if their words have hurt others and they brag even in the most nonsense things. no wonder why when the word maranao is mentioned, such words like boastful and hypocrites are linked by the majority. most of the maranao men culture helps a lot in destroying the image of islam and muslims.

  • the real exhibitionist...be proud of it pls..lets show this to evry filipino tv shows

  • sobara ung edtion ng video cut doon cut d2
