Memo to the New President: Managing the Iraq War

Meghan L. O'Sullivan is a lecturer in public policy at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center. O'Sullivan was Special Assistant to the President from July 2004 to September 2007 and Deputy National Security Advisor for Iraq and Afghanistan for the last two years of this Tenure. She Spent two of the past 5.5 years in Iraq, including two months at the end of 2008 to help conclude the security agreement between the U.S. and Iraq.
