The Apa-damapa mantra 2

I attracted some (probably well deserved) comment for my less than brilliant pronunciation of the mantra in my last video. (It was a bit rushed too.)

In the spirit of not wanting to do anyone a dis-service, here is an audio on the correct pronunciation of the mantra by Thomas Ashley Farrand, Namadeva Acharya, a priest in the Vedic tradition since 1973.

What is the translation of this to english?

@titanbuck7 The 'poetic' translation (rather than literal one) as given by Thomas Ashley Farrand in his book Healing Mantras is "Om, O most compassionate Rama. Please send your healing energy right here to the Earth, to the Earth. Salutations". In that sense, it is like a prayer too, Hope this helps.

I have most of his books and CD's, but never saw a DVD. What is the name of it?

I made the video and the audio is from one of Namadeva's CD's.

@actingup2 Hi friend, glad you found this useful. There may be some more but I don't want to do too many cos of the copyright infringement issues. His CD's are worth seeking out definitely. He was a great teacher, straight up and with no BS.
