On September 5 Mizzou began its 2009 football campaign against its Big 10 border opponent, the University of Illinois. Before the game, pep squads from Marching Mizzou, the Golden Girls, and Mizzou Cheerleaders warmed up the crowd, then Chancellor Brady Deaton, Senator Kit Bond, and Governor Jay Nixon fed them Mizzou red meat!!
I was with two other M2 parents as I shot this, so it was a fun pregame.
Selections include Every True Son-Fight Tiger, the Missouri Waltz, and Tiger Rag
Then it was on to the EdwardJones Dome, and the shutting down of Illinois. What a day!
What a day What a day
Wish you could have panned around the band, though.

I wish I could have panned as well, but I got crowded out. Two M2 Moms (one of the flics and one of the super trumpets) helped as much as they could, but...
Next year, I know to be dead center on the stage!

Should be another great year for us MIZZOU fans. Nice video, what kind of camera do you use?

I use a Sony Handycam DCR-SR85, and process it on a Mac. I have to have some middleware (MPEG streamclip) and a plugin to iMovie HD because Sony and Apple don't play nice.

Since I wrote this, I've added a Sony shoe-based mic to the rig; that's part of why the BGSU game sounds better than the Illinois game
