I love the music in these Japanese giant monster flicks. It's so ......dramatic! I wish someone would have the nerve to make a movie like this today. Rubber suits , model cities and crazy dialog. I could watch these flicks all day. I have little patience for today's horror/ sci-fi movies. It's mostly boring CGI and no story whatever.

This is a classic. Saw this first run when I was 5 years old and my parents took me to the drive in for my birthday to see this. It was my first Kaiju flick and I was hooked. Frankenstein Conquers the World and War of the Gargantuans was next. You have to watch these kinds of movies with the heart of a small kid. Most if not all Toho kaiju movies made any sense but thats their charm. I like them and I still watch them with the eyes of a 5 year old. It's more fun that way.

@rickw1100 i love pretty much any movie that comes from toho or any other studio that features men in rubber suits i guess you could say i'm a nerd but i know i am i love anything thats godzilla pretty much half of my entire family watches all the old horror and science fiction films i even collect them. and i'm going to be honost i don't really care for the movies that are coming out now i love the old movies better than almost all the movies that are coming out now most are remakes.

@MOVIEmania709 ...I do have to admit though, and perhaps you would agree- that there was a certain charm that those Toho productions had, that is lacking in all the CGI technology used today . Perhaps because I saw them as a little kid- I knew they were a guy in a rubber suit, but I thought they were great. But thanks for posting.

@rickw1100 you went more in depth then the book i read and i agree he does look bad.

@MOVIEmania709 - Well, sort of . Toho paid RKO $ 200,000 to use the King Kong character in the film. Because the film was so successful Toho wanted to then create a series around Kong much like they did with Godzilla- but were refused by RKO, who would not agree to that (thank God ). They were, however, permitted to release another Kong film in 1967, "King Kong Escapes". I still think Kong should sue for deformation of character !

@rickw1100 Toho bought the rights to Kong to make sequels and remakes.
Watched this as a kid and son loves it now. Worth it for Robot King Kong and especially for Linda Miller who is a friggin HOTTIE! I'd "pick her up" too :)

This movie is a 10 year old's wet dream! King Kong and a robot Kong kicking each other's ass in Tokyo....And yes, too bad Linda miller really didn't do much else :(
