  • Aria - Alto

    Können Tränen meiner Wangen

    Nichts erlangen,

O, so nehmt mein Herz hinein!

Aber laßt es bei den Fluten,

    Wenn die Wunden milde bluten,

    Auch die Opferschale sein!

  • Darwin, anyone?

  • @palicemful ??????? ------- As a matter of fact, thank you caveman, not Bach.

  • @GBADCD

As a matter of fact, thank you Hans Leo Hassler and Johann Crüger, not Bach.

  • @pebr70 You are mistaken. Without Johann Ambosius Bach, his father, and his mother, is not there J.S.Bach.

  • @Machdelu

I would too like to know which historical records even MENTION jesus.

  • @GBADCD

Without Jesus would give no Bach!

  • @Machdelu Just WHICH "historical records" are you referring to (Gospels notwithstanding, of course)?

Believe me, I am not out here to quarrel but to LEARN. That is, I would really appreciate any scholarly reference that supports your original point. Many thanks!

  • @NYCBG There is no denying that Jesus existed and was crucified... there are historical records. Whether or not He is the Saviour of all mankind is where religions differ.
