  • Awesome boat to say the least. I often wondered what one of these would do with a twin turbo Viper engine in one with some larger T-04 sized turbo's and 4in exhausts.

  • I think that boat already has either two 1075HP Mercs (GM Based blocks)or two 1200HP Mercs with 5" exhausts so I think to get that much somewhat reliable horsepower out of a Viper engine would be a task, not to mention the need for a marine cam and so forth.

  • Take it that you've never heard of ILMOR High Performance Marine Motors and Drives?

  • The largest Ilmore marine engine is 725 or 750 I think so it is no match to a 1075-1200 HP motor. I have heard them and passed them. They are great engines but until they come out with a forced air induction model they will just not have the HP to compete on the higher tier. Also the scarcity of these motors and less available parts compared to Chevy based engines like most Hi-Performance boat have make them a little harder on re-sale.

  • @ViperSRTnACR Dude, what the hell are you on about? Why are you talking about T04 turbos? Twin turbo Viper motors? About the v10's, you prolly don't even know Ilmor marine, and in terms of power, well the standard for engines in the Outerlimits boats are around 700-1300 hp each. Most pwerboats run 4" exhaust some 4½" and 5". Come back when you know what your talking about. If you did install twin turbos on the Viper motor and put it in a boat, it would blow up before you had 5 hr's on it.

because the water it pulls in from the lake/ocean is circulated thru the motor like the coolant in your car is, but instead of a radiator, it is pulling cool water from the lake cooling the motor then blowing the hot water out the exhaust manifold, just google mercruisrer marine manifold and it will give you a good idea how the water is sent out the tail pipe

  • why is water coming out of the pipe?

  • @ViperSRTnACR Honestly id prefer them engines that are already in the sick ass boat. I love raw horsepower sound coming from a big assing cam. Im not dissing Viper engines but in my opinion i dont think they would sound the best.

Visit the video much? My comment was over a year ago and now you're responding? First off, disrespect to the boats current setup was never intended. I happen to like Merc racing products especially their new 1350 TT engine package with M8 drives. And yes I'm very well aware of iLmor marine and their various viper based N/A packages they offer. As for the TT set up, I was talking about a one off custom build like turbo technologies did with a BBC and some 88's making 1700+ boosted

  • As much as i love the narrow hull design by Don Aronow of Apache and some Cigarette boats i prefer the wider Cigarette designs he did, not as fast but roomier at the end of the day when its time to retreat to the cabin. Keep havin fun on the water!
