i'm an irish man and born again. i was brought up a Roman Catholic, I got born again and baptised in the Holy Spirit at 17. I now go to an anglican church (church of ireland) and feel God's presence there. It's great.
Now.. i'm not going to leave the anglican communion because they ordain homosexual bishops, but rather stand up and be counted as one who opposes it and says that they are not legitimate bishops in the first place. You see, it's God that really appoints bishops, not men.
if a man has a civil unionship with another man, then he's a homosexual. This man should not be ordained a bishop.
...but here is where it gets interesting. Suppose a man, who is not truly born again, and he gets ordained as a bishop wants to lead a church...is he a bishop?
The answer is no because the man has to be righteous (God's righteousness) and called of God. God has called christians out of homosexuality...no doubt, but He certainly does not call homosexual men into ministry!
@nicksum29 They can fall in love they just can't have sex. (At least that's wwhat i take him as saying.) now feel free to equate love and sex, but i don't. (Also rthis is not an endorsement of Williams' views.) -- sorry about the spelling erroa, ojln my phone...
@littleladytomboy I didn't mean to say that he disd. My point was that it's an interesting idea to entertain in reading his work; as a proposed way to understand his "thorn in his side."

Interesting is the idea that St. Paul struggled with homosexual tendencies.

Moronic. Gay bishops are fine, as long as they don't fall in love. Such foolishness.

As someone wiser than myself once pointed out, the world is full of men who hate each other and when two men love each other the Church splits!
