Agro-Housing blends urban and rural living by creating vertical greenhouse space within high-rise apartment buildings. The Agro-Housing concept presents a new type of home where tenants grow their own organic food indoors, thus greatly reducing the environmental impact of urban expansion.
Agro-Housing was developed to counteract the effects of mass urbanization - displaced communities, the breakdown of existing traditions and heritage and increased strain on energy resources and infrastructure. It creates self-sustaining, city-dwelling families, a model for new urbanity, while contributing to the preservation of traditions and community values.
