  • sometimes i feel like satriani needs to play a stratocaster

No you don't. You make that choice. First and foremost could just as easily be artistic integrity and communication. As dandamaetoo reminds us, the spaces are important too. David Gilmore never seemed to have any trouble holding an audience's attention. Don't get me wrong, I think Joe Satriani is agifted musician, and have heard him play things that give me gooseflesh. But, if this clip is any indication, the blues is not his forte. ...And that's OK. One can't do everything!.

  • You rape a song when you play like that- rapist! JK He's into Steve man he's probably jammed that song 1,000,000 times These guys are a lot alike, really

  • too bad Steve and Joe never found their calling in life...

    (kidding!)

  • thanks for ruining a good song joe shitface

  • @RootsinBrooklyn What you dont realize is that satch is enertaining an audience. It may be a million notes and playing with teeth and all that. But that is show biz isnt it? You have to entertain first and formost.

  • the trouble with guys that can play a gozillion notes a million miles an hour is that they tend to do it all the time and think its music. give me a guy like david gilmore that knows why that one perfect note goes right there and why there is an empty spot here and there. just mho

  • @reitzle

I gotta agree with you. Satch is a master, but, alas, not a blues master. Hitting some of the "sweet notes", and playing with a bit of restraint would have helped here.

  • Satriani bores me to tears every damn time. I don't think he properly understands music.

  • The Solo Is Like So Jizz In My Pants ZOMG!

Thumbs up if u agree ;)

  • I dig Satch all right, but he's overplaying on this.
