RTE 6pm News Coverage of ARAN Presenting 'Compassionate Citizen Award'

ARAN presents homeless Dublin man John Byrne with our 'Compassionate Citizen Award' on Tuesday July 12, 2011 on Dublin's O' Connell Bridge, during a media scrum, all looking to get in on the presentation. ARAN thanks the compassionate and heroic efforts of Mr. Byrne to save the life of his companion rabbit. The press coverage for our award presentation yet again woke Ireland up to animal abuse and the plight of homeless people in Ireland. All in all a hugely successful day for both our efforts to end cruelty to animals and to highlight the homeless problem in Ireland for people. The press coverage surrounding this 'award' went onto open people's eyes and hearts up to the plight of animals everywhere.
